So it's day 2 of this awful week that most of us college students (at least here in Austin) like to refer to as hell week, otherwise known as Finals Week - I'm only 1 final in, and I've got at least 4 more and 2 papers to write as well. My game plan? Caffeinate myself until I have caffeine running through my blood stream, and then hibernate in the library to get all my stuff done that I need to do. I've devised a plan of how my next few days will go so as that I can get alllll my shit done. Starting with today...
Tuesday:
-finish up all French hw and worksheets needed to turn in tomorrow
-study my chapter for French exam on Wednesday..ahhhhhh!
-start/finish my ethics paper..only 6 paper, and it shouldn't be too hard
-start working on my science review to either finish tonight, or finish tomorrow morning
-take time out of the day to go workout...I'm going to need to let out some energy
-6pm break for a meeting at Caritas, should be a nice stress reliever from all that is finals
-and maybe find some time to eat today?
Wednesday:
-last minute reviews on all my French stuff
-finish science review/study the hell out of it
-do a review for ethics, study the hell out of that one too
-actually READ everything that I need to do for ethics
-make review guide for covert operations class
-write PAPER due for covert operations class (only about 5 pages though, and it's a personal simulation kind of deal..hopefully it won't be too hard?)
-work out at some point...if I have the time...and I WILL make time to go work out today.
-oh yea, take my French final today at some point. I should probably figure out what time that's at..
Thursday:
-take science exam. try not to fail
-go over last minute notes for covert ops. class..once again, try not to fail (also, turn in that bitch of a paper for this class too)
-take ethics exam and turn in final paper as well..grrrr.
-BE DONE WITH ALL THAT IS JUNIOR YEAR!! WAHOOO!!!!
And so around 7ish on Thursday of this week, I will be done with everything. Can I do it all? I sure as hell better figure out a way to do it all because it's all due this week, that's for sure :) Anyways, I wish good luck to everyone as they finish their journey through this awful week and enjoy those first few breaths of summer as it approaches us all so very quickly!

Friday Friday Friday:
I got the brown hair back yall! Wooohoooo. Also, it's the weekend before finals WHICH MEANS that I just finished my last official class of my junior year of college. Only 5 finals and a paper are what's stopping me from getting to senior year..woaahhh. I feel like I just got to Austin and it's still all of 2008... where did the time go?! I think of all the new people I've met, the memories I've made, the places I've traveled to...everything here, there, and in between...it's all been a beautiful experience.
I can't believe that it's already May 6th - yesterday was me and C's "Tres-a-versary," aka our 3 months of being together. The time has flown over the past few months..I still can't believe sometimes that I got lucky enough to end up with him, he's done more good for me in the past few months then I've experienced with other guys I've dated for over a year. It's amazing what the power of love and positivity can do for a person :)
Anyways. I'm about to go to the gym and get a workout in before I get too pooped out and don't want to do anything before the evening; I always feel better after I go to the gym anyways.
Love love and more love to you all as you head into the weekend,

May 1st, 2011 means TX got cold & The World Lost a Terrorist:
It's May 2nd and it's whaaaat...50 degrees outside? Pretty sure it's been colder today (and last night) then it was the entire month of MARCH. I'm wearing a hoodie today for goodness sake. And it's now May. And I live in Texas. Anddd I'm not really sure how this all came about..buuuut..I'm ready for the weather to go back to sunny skies, no clouds, blueness and sunshine all around me.
Also, in more important news (since the weather change wasn't important enough), last night marked an extraordinary event in history...Osama bin Laden, the world's most wanted and feared terrorist, was killed in a firefight in Pakistan. Unbelievable is all that I can say. I feel like this marks the end of an era of hatred, terrorism, and fear, and although terrorism has not been completely wiped off the planet, I still feel like what happened yesterday was something of incredible proportions.

Hopefully for the families of the thousands killed in 9/11, and the thousands killed under the reign of his own hand, I hope that the world slept a little more peacefully last night knowing that the murderer or hundreds of thousands has finally been caught and killed. Of course, I wish violence upon no one and it's absolutely awful that he could not come to terms with his actions himself, as he should have, but I still feel like that justice has been served and the international community can breathe a sigh of relief.
Last night marked an extremely important moment in history, and I'm just glad that I'm alive and living to be a part of something so phenomenal - I've gone through many incredible, historic moments in my lifetime, but I feel like this is going to be one of the biggest yet. Until the next historic event rolls by...

Weekend Photoz:
Pictured Above: Matt and Matt..my favorites! :D
Pictured below: Myself, Hillary (bday girl), and Matt N.
Above...Matt and myself - he's one of my best friends in the entire world, I'm not sure how I would have survived the past two years of college without him. He's also a Libra which makes him pretty badass too. (ps. I'm a Libra)
Matt, Allison (the other bday girl), and myself! Allison and Hillary had a joint birthday party on Friday night and I went with Matt for a few hours to help them celebrate their 20th birthday. This was one of the first times all semester long I've been out and actually gone out to a social gathering, so it was a well needed break from the stress of this semester. It was also nice just to go out and have a good time with friends and not worry about anything else going on...all in all I'd say my weekend went wonderfully and Friday night only started the weekend off perfectly (plus a nap I'd taken earlier with Chris helped me save my energy for the rest of the night).
Anyways, I hope the rest of the weekend for all of you friends was as enjoyable and de-stressing as mine was. I ended up getting to go out but I definitely got to spend some relaxation time back at St. Edward's as well. I even got to go to the greenbelt with Chris for a little bit on Sat. to take my sick best friend's dog out for a walk! Unfortunately under the circumstances I wish Lindsay hadn't of had the stomach flu and it wasn't ungodly hot outside, but other than that it was still a nice outing.
Cheers and here's to the FINAL WEEK OF SCHOOL coming up tomorrow,

My note from the Universe (from yesterday but I'm just now checking today...)
When the going gets tough, Jardin, isn't it enough to remember that calm, peace, and happiness always return - for you and all those you love?
That you will breathe freely again?
That you will stand tall again?
And that, if you really insist, you will sing that "Let's get ready to R-U-M-B-L-E..." song again - windows down, wind in your hair, double latte, riding shotgun - at the top of your lungs?
"Y'all ready for this...?"
The Universe
I think that sometimes, when I get caught up in the midst of all the shit in my life, I tend to forget that sometimes all it takes for me to calm down is just to take a deep breath and...*ahhhh*...breatheeeee.
I can get down on myself pretty easily, so if I can simply learn to remember to keep things in perspective and hold my head high and know that in the end, everything will work itself out beautifully, then I feel like everything else in my life will go smoothly as well.
Never forget to breathe, friends! Sometimes that's all you need to help you to remember to stay sane :) Happy weekend all... I'm about to go take my sick best friend's dog on a walk in the greenbelt and enjoy this Saturday for what it is! Chris is joining me on this little adventure so it should be an enjoyable afternoon over all - spending time with my love and my ex-roommate from last summer (Harper, Lindsay's dog, slept with me almost every night of the summer last year on the futon...we had some good times, we did).
Cheers, and happy adventures!

Happy Tuesday!
A little Katy Perry/Ellie Goulding/Rihanna mashup for you :) Happy Tuesday to you all!
And kudos to Jenny for finding this mix..I got into Ellie Goulding back at the beginning of December, and I really dig her music (check her out in this video below).
Anyways. Not much to report here...I've got class in about half an hour, then my 1:1 with Nick, and then time for a workout before class at 5:25. Sheeeeesh. And THEN I have to go in to work at 8:30 tonight, which kinda sucks because I have a test tomorrow soooo I really wish I didn't have to work so I could focus on my studying. Grrrr.
This week's just a busy week all around - I'm waiting to here back about a summer internship tomorrow, so fingers crossed I get a call back from the lady and I get the position! That would be super rad. I also have a program tomorrow night with bbq and a movie, so I hope a lot of residents come out to that. The only problem with that is that I'm also on duty tomorrow night which means I can't leave my building past 7 and I have a 2 page report due Thurs. that I really need to go to the library and do. When will I find the time to do all this?! It's only the beginning of the school week and already I'm stressing!
But I'll leave it at that for now, Easter break was fun and relaxing, but it was definitely a tease about summer coming so soon....just gotta get through these next few weeks and then..*ahhhh* breathe a sigh of relief at last :)

Note from the Universe:
My note from The Universe, Monday's edition:
Even though you can't physically see a tree growing, Jardin, doesn't mean it's not. Right?
Same with the world spinning?
Gravity clinging?
So next time the masses are huddled at your feet, pining about dreams they claim are not coming true, you might remind them of this.
Every day you get closer.
Yo! Ho! Ho!
The Universe
Sometimes I wonder if the progress I've made with music, school, my jobs, etc...really does have an impact on anyone else, or on myself, when it's hard for me at times to see what all I've accomplished. Sometimes success or reward doesn't come right away, you have to work towards it. In terms of music, I have to remind myself that when I get down for not being able to finish writing a song, or my voice doesn't sound the greatest, that I've come so far in the past year with my musical endeavors...or when I get upset when not a huge crowd comes out to a show, I still have to think that hey, I'm proud oy myself for even getting up on the stage in the first place because it takes a lot of guts to do that.
"Every day you get closer." It doesn't matter what you're reaching towards, or what you're trying to accomplish, but every day you get a little bit closer to reaching your goal. Never give up on yourself, that's the most important thing to remember. You can't have success without first having failure - it's inevitable! Life is a process, a series of ups and down, highs and lows, and just because you can't see your progress being made instantaneously, that doesn't mean it's not manfiesting itself slowly to be presented another day, in a different light.
Anything is possible if you keep working hard towards your goal - I've at least learned that much from growing up in my crazy life.
In dreams and in success and in failure and in hope...
