I've got a show tonight...

And I couldn't be more excited! I never feel happier then when I'm playing my guitar. I can't wait for a good night ahead, fingers crossed that all goes well!

Things to remember for the weekend (and for always as well):

As the weekend approaches, and I sit here trying to finish up my research paper (which I WILL have done before 2am, god help me), I realized that there's a few things that I want to keep at the front of my mind as I dive into this beautiful weekend ahead. First of all...
Go your own way. Be your own person. Live your own life. Don't be afraid to take chances and bask in the opportunity that's always around you. Believe me, there's plenty of opportunity for you to live in and for you reach out and grab - it's always your decision though whether you're ready or not to accept the challenge of looking for those opportunities. And all the while, always go your own way, do your own thing, laugh, smile, dance, love, cry, forgive, and start right back over again.
They're always shining. Always. Every time the sun goes down, never forget that those bright balls of burning, shining gas will always be there for you to wish upon.
Play more music :) This is when I'm most happy, when it's me, my guitar, my voice, and my words. I need to learn to set aside time each today to practice. I can feel the positivity surround me when I wrap myself up in the love of music.
Wake up in time to see a sunrise, or stay up late enough to watch it before collapsing into blissful sleep. Sunrises are almost, in my opinion, better than a sunset. They represent newness, a fresh start, a beautiful day in front of you...I like thinking of starting my day seeing something as beautiful as a sunrise.

As you all go into your weekends (Starting NOW!), what will you look forward to most in your life? It's the small things that make all the bigger moments worth it. Don't forget to hold onto those, and live your life to the best that you can - it's only then that you'll get the most out of it.

Because I'm obsessed..

Now, I've never been much of a cat person. But. Seeing as I'm now dating someone who loves cats more so than dogs, and I feel like I'm finding more and more of a consensus these days of people being cat-lovers over dog-lovers, I can't help but find these next few images absolutely adorbs. And of course there's some dog pics too because my love for canines hasn't gone away just yet...

 oh haiiiii!

 this. is. so. cute.

and of course, I have to put a little monkey in here. ummm..LOOK AT HIS FACE. umff.

I love my job.

Pink Floyd theme night at work tonight? Sure, why not. We made over 700$ in business tonight, over 1000$ total for the entire day's sales. Our usual sales estimate for the week is maybe 4000$, soooo the fact that in one day alone we made over 1000$ tells you just how busy we were - we didn't get out of the store until 1am. We close at midnight...

We had cool posters and drawings put up throughout the store...everyone seemed love our badass shirts as well! :-) Mad props to Zeke for going all out and making this theme night seriously legit. He's the one who bought BOTH of us the shirts, so kudos to him for that!

We definitely had a lot of fun, and this is just one more reason to add to the always growing list of why I love working at Amy's Ice Creams. For serious...this job is awesome. Good people, good job, good hours, good location. Good good good at being the perfect part-time job for me while I'm still in college. I love my Amy's family, my customers, and especially the ice cream! Mmmmmm. Hellooooo calories!
